- USDA Cooperative Extension System โ University extension publications from Cornell, Clemson, University of Minnesota, and University of Tennessee (UT Extension), which conduct localized research and publish peer-reviewed growing guides based on USDA hardiness zones.
- Knott's Handbook for Vegetable Growers, 5th Edition (Maynard & Hochmuth, 2007) โ The standard professional reference for vegetable production data including spacing, planting depth, germination requirements, and days to maturity.
- ATTRA / National Center for Appropriate Technology โ Federally funded resource for sustainable and organic growing practices, companion planting, and integrated pest management.
